The Christian way is different: harder, and easier. Christ says, "Give me all. I don't want so much of your time and so much of your money and so much of your work: I want you.... This reminds me of a discussion I had with one of H's nieces about what religion the kids would choose.

hm. harder. definitely harder. giving up is so hard. lent is coming. our fr. said in sunday's sermon that lent is a gift of the church to us, to give us a specified time to do those "i know i shoulds." i am at my core both selfish and very lazy. hard.

Oh. I like the "I know I shoulds." I, for example, should go to the gym. I like to add things at lent, as opposed to taking things away.
