S is a freshman at "Freedom" University who stood up for what she believes. Her junior roommate wanted her to sign a zionist petition against Palestinians. When S, who grew up in the Arab world, refused, her roommate informed her that she hated Arabs. "First, you can't say that," my heroine informed her. "And secondly, do you even know any Arabs?" A week later, the older roommate had moved out.
And since the three people I love most in the world are Arabs, and even if they weren't, I agree with my heroine that Christians can't go around hating people, I hereby award her the first "My Heroine" award of 2009.
