Leila was thrilled to discover her first loose tooth yesterday. She wiggled it gently for me and wanted to know which of my teeth had been the first to go. I didn't know, but it was probably one I knocked out when I fell off a stool in pre-school.
At meal times she complained that she couldn't eat because it hurt, so I taught her to break her food into small pieces and chew at the side of her mouth. The broccoli took some nibbling, but she got the leaves down, leaving only the trunk.
It seems that the tooth fairy is expected to not only give money but perhaps a gift, as well, when the tooth finally manages to come out.
