Today I was changing Ali's diaper, and he noticed my sunglasses on top of my head-
"glasses- hat," he said, with all the delight of a logical being observing the absurd.
He has such a physical humour. A few weeks ago, he pulled me away from my computer in the office and led me up the hall to the kitchen, complaining in that way he has when he wants something. When we got there, he pointed to the refrigerator and then arched his back, put his head back, put his hand to his mouth and made gulping noises. Then he laughed and laughed, and repeated this gesture five or six times, absolutely delighted with himself. "Gink, gink," he said. (Drink, drink).
