Last night I was standing in the kitchen when I heard "oh no, oh no, oh no" coming down the hall, and Leila ran into the kitchen and over to the broom. It was a little hard for her to pull it out from behind the trash can, but she managed and carried it carefully down to the office, the long pole in front brushing the walls on turns. Once in the office she began sweeping up the raisins she had spilled all over the floor. A little later, after Habib had returned the broom to the kitchen, I found her back in the office with it, trying to sweep up the water she had spilled from her cup. I guess she's very tidy.
On Saturday night we went to Fall Fest at LGBC and Leila got very attached to a college student who was there with his girlfriend. She would stand staring at him, then run off and then come back and stare some more. Later he sat down by her, and she was very happy. At one point she snuck under his arm, and at another she bit his finger. She'd take his hand and rub it on her leg, too. She followed him around for a while, and took his hand and led him around. She also got him to pick her up and she put her head down on his shoulder. Who knows what it was about him, but he was very sweet. I think he didn't quite know what to do. The funny thing is that I used to get attached to young men as a small child, too.
