A couple of weeks ago we filled up our saver's card at the discount bread store and got a free goodie. Leila chose donuts. (They were awful!)
A few days later she said, "Mommy, if someone robbed that store and they stole the food off the free rack, they wouldn't really be stealing."
I tried to set her straight, so hopefully we won't have any shoplifting.
She did that once as a baby. She reached out and helped herself to a candy bar from the checkout line, and nobody noticed. Oops.
